Dual Throttle Kit Mounting Instructions for
Polaris, Yamaha, and 2006 and OLDER Arctic Cat
Snowmobiles
1. Remove clip and pin that holds thumb throttle flipper onto throttle block and replace them with 2-1/2" mounting bolt from kit.
1
2. On bottom of mounting bolt, add 1 washer, Left Hander throttle lever adapter, 1 washer, 1 standard nut, and 1 ny-lock nut. (in that order) hand tighten standard nut and use ny-lock nut as jamb nut. Squeeze thumb throttle, if throttle lever adapter cannot be LOOSELY held independent of throttle, then it’s too tight and must be readjusted. Make sure thumb throttle moves freely. (It will be necessary on some throttle blocks to leave out the spacer washer in between thumb flipper and throttle lever adapter, on others you will use 2 spacers here). Cut remainder of bolt off after adjusting. Dia-grinder and safety glasses recommended.
2
3. Loosen mount screws for control panel / brake mount and slide them inward to make room for left side throttle, tighten them back up. Mount left side throttle lever to bars in between grip and brake / control panel.
3
4. The cable housing will be a few inches too long. Remove one end cap and lay housing into place where it will go across handle bars or through handle bar pad / cover etc. Leave room for the cable tensioner and cut to length. Replace end cap.
4
5. Thread cable through lever, cable housing, and accordion spring tensioner. (Insert cable through larger side of accordion spring first as shown in picture 6. Insert cable through Cable retainer on Left Hander throttle lever adapter. Pull cable so that accordion boot just touches throttle lever adapter, and tighten Cable retainer screw. Adjust barrel adjustment on Left Hander Lever to remove any slack from cable. Tighten lock nut on barrel adjuster.
6. Cut cable to length and crimp cable end with supplied crimp. Leave about 1 1/2 inches excess cable as shown in picture 6.
5 6
7. Tightly secure cable housing to handle bars with zip ties so that cable and housing does not move when you squeeze Left Hander lever. If cable housing moves then you will not get full throttle. When lined up properly, it will bring throttle smoothly to full throttle and back. See Picture 5.
8. BEFORE STARTING ENGINE, squeeze left hand throttle, make sure that it moves thumb throttle from idle position to full throttle position and back freely.
Squeeze thumb throttle, if throttle lever adapter moves with throttle, then its too tight and must be readjusted BEFORE STARTING ENGINE. Make sure thumb throttle moves freely.
Mounting Instructions ForSki-Doo Rev Snowmobiles, Also For ALL BRANDS with Power Madd Aftermarket Throttle Block
NOT 2007 X-RS or X Package
1. Remove shouldered bolt that holds bottom of thumb throttle flipper onto throttle block
1
2. Use the stock screw to mount throttle lever adapter to throttle block. Use lock-tight on the threads here and let sit for 30 minutes before riding. The rest of the mount up should take about that. Make sure thumb throttle moves freely.
2
3. Loosen mounting bolt on left side of mountain bar and 4 torque screws on left side control panel / brake. Slide them inward to make room for left side throttle to mount around bar in between grip and brake. Tighten the mount bolts / screws back up
4. Clamp left Hander lever mount around stock 7/8” diameter bar in between grip and brake perch with supplied spacer where it will sit and tighten mount bolt. See picture 2. DO NOT trim grip on Ski-Doo or Yamaha. For the REV, you will have to mount in the 4:00 – 4:30 position to allow the cable to go in front of the control panel. Others will go into the 6:00 position.
3
4. The cable housing will be a few inches too long. Remove one end cap and lay housing into place where it will go across handle bars or through handle bar pad / cover etc. Mark the length it will need to be with room for the coil spring cable tensioner as shown in picture 2 with cable housing end cap inserted into the big end of the cable tensioner boot. Cut housing, replace end cap, and lay into place. There should be 1/4" gap of exposed cable in-between rubber boot and stainless adapter
Leave about 1 1/2 inches excess cable.
4
7. Tightly secure cable housing to handle bars with zip ties so that cable and housing does not move when you squeeze Left Hander lever. If cable housing moves then you will not get full throttle. When lined up properly, it will bring throttle smoothly to full throttle and back. See Picture 4.
8. BEFORE STARTING ENGINE, squeeze left hand throttle, make sure that it moves thumb throttle smoothly from idle position to full throttle position and back.
Squeeze thumb throttle, if throttle lever adapter moves with throttle, then its too tight and must be readjusted BEFORE STARTING ENGINE. Make sure thumb throttle moves freely.

Mounting Instructions
2007 Ski-Doo X-RS and X Package Snowmobiles
1. Loosen mounting bolt on left side of mountain bar and 4 torque screws on left side control panel / brake. Slide them inward to make room for left side throttle to mount around bar in between grip and brake. Tighten the mount bolts / screws back up
3. There are no external screws on your stock throttle block as the pivots are part of the plastic thumb flipper. Drill 1/16” diameter hole into the center of the pivot on the bottom of your stock thumb throttle.
Put mounting screw from kit through the plastic bushing in kit, then plastic bushing through brass bushing from kit and then through the throttle adapter, and through # 6 metric washer from kit. Do these in that order as shown in picture, and then screw them into the 1/16” hole that you drilled. Use Lock tight blue to keep from vibrating out.
It will look like Picture below when mounted correctly.
4. Slip throttle end of cable housing into left side throttle block.
Cable housing will be too long. Remove sealed end cap and lay housing into place.
Cut housing to length leaving just enough room for ¼” exposed cable at end of rubber boot as in Picture. Replace sealed end cap.
5. Thread cable through throttle lever, cable housing, and accordion spring tensioner. (Insert cable through larger side of accordion spring first as shown in picture above. Insert cable through Cable retainer on Left Hander throttle lever adapter. Pull cable tight so that accordion boot leaves ¼” gap of exposed cable at throttle lever adapter, and tighten Cable retainer screw. Adjust in-line cable adjustment to remove any slack from cable. Tighten lock nut on barrel adjuster.
6. Cut cable to length and crimp cable end with supplied crimp. Leave about 1 1/2 inches excess cable as shown in pictures.
7. Tightly secure cable housing to handle bars with zip ties so that cable and housing does not move when you squeeze left side throttle lever. If cable housing moves then you will not get full throttle. When lined up properly, it will bring throttle smoothly to full throttle and back.
